Mom and Dad,

As always, thank you so much for your emails. Its fun to hear about whats going on at home and good to know that everyone is doing well.

I barely remember what we have been up to these last few weeks. Its all a blur but at least ive been writing in my journal as much as i can so the memories arent all lost to history. One of the best experiences that we have had in these last couple of weeks was finding Toni. We were looking for someone with our ward mission leader (Hermano Mata) a few weeks ago but couldnt find their house or get ahold of them by phone. We scrapped the plan in the end and ended up without plans. Hno. Mata called a friend and managed to get a referral for someome that we could go visit. He gave us a ride there and dropped us off with only a name, Toni, and 1 peace of information, that she speaks mostly english. We knocked on her door and she came to the window initially saying that she was very busy but eventually letting us in. It was a little weird for us to speak in english. My companion, Elder Falslev, struggled a little more than i but it was overall a good experience. I can realate a ton to Toni, when she asks us questions she is very sincere and interested and they are questions that i have asked before like, Where did god come from and who does he talk to when he has a problem or if we are going to live forever wouldnt that get boring? I dont know if it is a more culturally american thing to ask these types of questions but it has helped me relate to her more than any other investigator. Both my companion and i have felt like we were brought to this area to teach her and that that is part of our unique purpose in this area. Wer have also spoken a ton of english these last weeks. We have somehow run into a lot fo people that speak more english than spanish and it feels good to be able to express ourselves more freely. It also feels good to feel like we have a special purpose here as two english speakers and that there are some people who we are in a unique position to help.

Mom, what a story about your patient. I promise to be careful whenever i use power tools. If it makes you feel better im pretty much set for the next 18mos. Also, i loved hearing about your stay in california, I absolutely loved the few days i had to myself over the summer there. Pres. Nelsons message is very interesting to me. Its interesting to think that we were reserved specifically for this time to do this work. It sure doesnt feel like it sometimes but its good to know that we always have access to heavenly help.

Dad, It was awesome to hear about your ride with Ben and how he is doing. He emailed me too and it was good to hear from him. I cant wait to ride the summit with you when i get back. I know that this work is very important but sometimes i have trouble really loving it. I cant help but think sometimes that there are so many other things in the world that i enjoy more even though i know that this is important. What would be your advice for me to help me really be coverted and develop a love for missionary work?

I love you guys so much! I hope you are doing well and know that you are in my prayers as always.

Love
